July 2022 sees Team Wapiti embark on a totally self-supported 1000 mile paddle from Canada into the Arctic Circle, finishing in the Alaskan backcountry.
Tom Alden, Ambassador for ROSY and founder of Commit2Inspire is joining forces with fellow adventurer Jim Thorne on this epic feat of endurance.
The Yukon 1000 follows the footsteps of early adventurers, immersing in the raw, untouched wilderness that few humans ever experience. No phones. No sat navs. There is zero communication during this trip. With up to 10 days to complete the race, Team Wapiti will cross the finish line to join the elite few who have conquered the world’s longest canoe race. Team Wapiti will be canoeing in an open top Canadian canoe the whole way, paddling 18 hour days to the finish line.
