Charity Golf Day

The Captain of Oxford Ladies Golf Club, Ruth Stockford, has adopted ROSY as her charity for her year as Captain and has already raised many hundreds of pounds for us. On Monday the 1st August we had a fantastic Charity Golf Day at the Golf Club, played in wonderful weather. ROSY was one of three charities nominated by Ruth and the men's captain Ray Lewis. ROSY was represented by our Chairman of The Friends of ROSY, the actor Robert Hardy, who met with the golfers before they embarked on their rounds. In the evening a meal was enjoyed by all, followed by a charity auction.

Thank you Ruth and Ray and all at the Club for your fantastic support. It is inspiring to know that that people can have a fantastic days golf amongst friends but at the same time raise money for, and awareness of, those less fortunate than themselves.
